I let the littles plan a back yard picnic today and invite some friends over. I think they had a lot of fun! They made peanut butter & jam sandwiches for their friends. They ripped them all in half (instead of cutting), so some of them looked a little funny. But nobody complained. Along with the sandwiches we served Cream Soda, Cheetos, and mint Oreos. Talk about a nutritious meal!
And the best part of all is that after it was over my kids went over to a neighbor’s house to play. So I didn’t even have to feel the effects of too much junk food.
Now that is a pretty sweet deal.
There is probably something wrong with having a baby just so you can buy cute clothes. (Although I did use a similar excuse once to try and justify a double stroller to the Mr. But I digress.)
Since I had said baby before I knew about the existence of the Tea line of children’s clothing, I think I’m absolved. That doesn’t mean I won’t use said baby as my secret weapon when it comes to extricating the credit card and permission from the Mr.
This is the dress in question:

Isn’t it pretty much the cutest darned thing since Gerber invented the Onesie?
The Mr and I took the kiddos to a park tonight for dinner. It was no surprise that 5 minutes after we arrived, no one was hungry. We made them sit in front of their hamburgers until we were done, and then let them go play.
We hung out on the playground for awhile, and then walked over to a nearby pond to scare all the fish away. No one fell in, and we made it home in one piece. Of course everyone screamed all the way home, but that’s to be expected when it’s an hour past bedtime.
